Terms of use

The rules for using Secret Santa (secretsantaro.com), written as plainly as we could. By using the site, you agree to them.
Who provides the service
Secret Santa is created and run by Claudiu Micu. Contact: contact@secretsantaro.com.
Being finalisedThe legal form (sole trader or limited company), registered name, address and tax ID are being finalised and will be published here before payments are switched on.
What Secret Santa does
It helps you run a gift exchange: a name draw with exclusions, a private link for each participant, wishlists, delivery addresses and anonymous questions. There are no accounts. The free plan covers groups of up to 25 people.
The organiser's responsibilities
- Only add people who want to take part, and tell them you're using Secret Santa.
- Use names or nicknames, never sensitive data (health, religion, ID numbers and so on).
- Send each person only their own link. Anyone with a link can see what that link shows.
- Keep your organiser link safe: with no accounts, we can't recover it.
Acceptable use
Don't use Secret Santa for spam, harassment, illegal content or to get around technical limits. We may block groups or requests that do.
Pro and company plans
Pro (up to 50 people, €4.99 or 24.99 lei) and the company plans (up to 100, 300 or 1,000 people) are paid once per event. Payments are not live yet and you can't be charged today. Before they go live we'll add the payment terms, invoicing and the consumer right of withdrawal here.
Shop links
Gift ideas may link to external shops such as eMAG. You buy directly from that shop, on its terms. We're not responsible for products, prices or delivery.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep the service running, especially in December, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. In offline mode, data lives only in the links and your browser; in live mode it's deleted automatically 60 days after the exchange. Our liability is limited as far as the law allows; your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Intellectual property
Secret Santa's design, text, illustrations and code belong to Claudiu Micu. The names and lists you enter remain yours.
Governing law and disputes
Romanian law applies. If something's wrong, email us first at contact@secretsantaro.com. Consumers can also contact the Romanian consumer protection authority (ANPC, anpc.ro), including its alternative dispute resolution bodies, or the competent courts. If you live elsewhere in the EU, the mandatory consumer protections of your country still apply.

We may update these terms. The date above shows the current version, and we explain important changes on this page.
